19th Century Japanese ivory Okimono figure, beautifully carved as a standing old man resting on a walking stick and smiling, he rests on top of a little wooden pier, a turtle below climbing the pile, all finely carved and engraved.
The okimono dates to the Meiji period, year about 1890’s, the base is set with the maker’s mark.
