20th Century Indian Colonial Silver presentation casket and scroll holder, each piece profusely embossed with figures working in a landscape with buildings, both presented to Edward William Stanley, Station Master in Colaba, Mumbay, for over 30 years. The scroll holder dating to 1914 and the casket dating to the 1916.
Unmarked, as often with Indian silver, acid tested shows a 800+ silver standard, Mumbay, dating to the 1910's.

Antique 20th Century rare Indian Colonial Solid Silver presentation casket and scroll holder, each piece profusely embossed with figures working in a landscape with buildings, both presented to Edward William Stanley, Station Master in Colaba, Mumbay, for over 30 years. The scroll holder dating to 1914 and the casket dating to the 1916.
Both the scroll holder and the casket opening to reveal the original commemorative scroll, the one in the casket is particularly fine, lined in silk and hand painted, signed "Mich. Bocarro Bombay".
The silver is unmarked, as often with Indian silver, acid tested shows a 800+ silver standard, Mumbay, dating to the 1910's.
CONDITION
In Great condition - No damage to the silver, just general wear, minor wear to the scrolls.
