Antique 19th Century Indian solid silver massive vase, profusely chased and embossed in high relief with a particularly detailed "Jungle" scenes, depicting an intricate forest populated by a variety of animals in relief, surrounded by foliate bands, removable collar in the same style. The piece is particularly large, heavy and well done, not hallmarked as often the case for Indian silver, but has been acid tested and shows a 900+ silver purity. The vase is typically Lucknow in style and probably dating to the 1890's.
