DESCRIPTION
Antique 19th Century Indian Kutch (Cutch), Bhuj, Gujarat region hand crafted and pierced solid silver basket, of shaped round form on four ball feet, finely chased and pierced with scrolling leaves and flower pattern in a finely tooled background, typical of Cutch work, the swinging handle beautifully made in complimentary style. As often the case for Indian silver it doesn't have hallmarks, but has been acid tested and shows to be 900+ silver standard. The piece dates to the 1880-1890's.
