DESCRIPTION
Antique 19th Century Indian exceptionally rare solid silver repousse three-piece tea set, comprising of teapot, lidded sugar bowl and cream jug, each piece is profusely and beautifully repousse' decorated with scrolling foliage and flowers on a tooled ground, made in the shape of coco de mer.
Each piece is finely crafted, the finials mounted with elephant finials and the body applied with snake shaped handles, the teapot bears a vacant shield shaped cartooche.
Hallmarked T85 (900+ standard), the piece dates to the late 19th century.
