DESCRIPTION
Antique 19th Century German Solid Silver table ornament modelled as a heron, very well made in every small detail. Table ornaments finely modelled like birs are a speciality of German silver made in Hanau and are very sought after.
The figure bears the Maker's marks for Neresheimer & Sohne, the greatest German silversmith active in Hanau in the late 19th - early 20th Century and is further Hallmarked English import silver (925 standard), London, year 1913 (s), Importer's mark B.H.M (Berthold Hermann Muller).
