DESCRIPTION
Antique early 20th Century German Solid Silver cast figure modelled as a standing bird, precisely a Hoopoe, very well finished and ornamental. The statue is stunningly well-refined and realistically modelled in every small detail.
The tail is Hallmarked German silver (830 standard), Maker's mark for J. D. Schleissner & Co (important manufacturer active in Hanau from 1817). It dates to year 1910's.
