Antique 20th Century German very impressive solid silver model of a galleon ship, commonly referred to as a "Nef" made in the style of the 15th-16th Century examples, impressively large and very detailed. The three-masted galleon with pierced gallery and crew on board deck and in crows nests.
The hull decorated in relief and applied with grotesque birds and cannons, the hull supported by a detachable stand on wheals. Hallmarked with German silver pseudo marks (800+ standard), Maker possibly Karl Kurz, Kesselstadt, active 1877-1929.
