The term 'jardiniere' literally means 'female gardener', a name for a vessel used for containing flowers or as a centerpiece containing fruit. The bowl comes with a perfectly fitting cut glass liner, oval form, the openwork body is decorated with a leaf boarder, stands on four scroll feet and applied twin cast figural handles.
