19th Century German Hanau Silver figural model of a ship, called "Nef", in the style of the 15th-16th Century examples, impressive and very detailed. The piece is beautifully modelled, removable top with a central mast, mounted crows nests and flags, the sails engraved with coat of arms, the body profuselyt embossed with Galatea and Neptune in their dolphin-drawn Chariots, the whole is held by a stunning figure of a triton standing on a shaped stand modelled as four dolphins. Hallmarked with Hanau pseudo-marks, possibly for Karl Kurtz, year 1890's.

Antique 19th Century rare German Hanau Solid Silver figural model of a ship, called "Nef" (for more information please follow this link), in the style of the 15th-16th Century examples, impressive and very detailed. The piece is beautifully modelled, removable top with a central mast, mounted crows nests and flags, the sails engraved with coat of arms, the body profuselyt embossed with Galatea and Neptune in their dolphin-drawn Chariots, the whole is held by a stunning figure of a triton standing on a shaped stand modelled as four dolphins. Large figural nefs in such an excellent condition are extremely rare and sought after. Each part is Hallmarked with Hanau pseudo-marks, possibly for Karl Kurtz, year 1890's.
