The scene represents the Judment of Paris, a story from the Greek mythology, one of the main events that led up to the Trojan War and to the foundation of Rome (please follow this link for further information regarding the myth).
The chasing is very fine and accurate imitating the quality of the 16th / 17th century pieces. The reverse bearing pseudo-marks typical of German Hanau silver, the bunch of grapes usually used by Gebruder Neumann and Storck & Sinnsheimer. The charger probably dates to 1880-1900.
