19th Century German Silver standing cup and cover, made in the 17th Century style, the domed base chased with panels depicting Mythological figures surrounded by scrolling foliage, the body also beautifully chased with figures and animals in a landscape, the stem is applied with cast scrolls, the matching cover in the same style is surmounted by an eagle finial. This is a massive and magnificent and decorative piece, the base is hallmarked with old pseudo-marks (probably Hanau).

Antique 19th Century German Solid Silver standing cup and cover, impressively large (62 centimeters tall), made in the 17th Century style, the domed base chased with panels depicting Mythological figures surrounded by scrolling foliage, the body also beautifully chased with figures and animals in a landscape, the stem is applied with cast scrolls, the matching cover in the same style is surmounted by an eagle finial. This is a massive and magnificent and decorative piece, the base is hallmarked with old pseudo-marks (probably Hanau), acid tested shows a 800+ silver standard, it dates to year 1890-1900.
