19th Century French Silver mounted hand-painted enamel vase, of baluster form, the body is stunningly painted depicting a lovely young girl walking in a rose garden, great workmanship and condition overall. The vase is applied with a magnificent cast silver mounts, the rim with a gadrooned decoration and the openwork feet depicting flowers and leaves in relief on a scrolling base. Hallmarked French silver (800+).

Antique 19th Century French Solid Silver mounted hand-painted enamel vase, of baluster form, the body is stunningly painted depicting a lovely young girl walking in a rose garden, great workmanship and condition overall. The vase is applied with a magnificent cast silver mounts, the rim with a gadrooned decoration and the openwork feet depicting flowers and leaves in relief on a scrolling base. The silver is Hallmarked French silver (boar's head, 800+ silver standard), Maker's mark in a lozange (very small and difficult to read), by style the vase is typically from the French city of Limoges, renowned for its enamelled pieces. It probably dates to the 1890's.
