Antique 19th Century Victorian solid silver & glass monkey shaped claret jug. The jug features a meticulously crafted glass body, shaped to resemble a seated monkey, with its front paws resting on its haunches and its tail gracefully curling upward to form a scroll handle and tail. The sterling silver mounts are intricately chased to mimic the texture of the monkey's hair and feet, with the neck mount realistically shaped below an applied collar.
