DESCRIPTION
Antique 19th Century painting depicting a rural landscape, signed by Carl Jutz (1838 - 1916). A German painter based originating from Offenburg, Carl Jutz made his name principally as a painter of landscapes featuring poultry and birds. He was active in Munich since 1861 and in Düsseldorf from 1867. From 1867, he regularly entered work in international exhibitions. He was one of the most important European animal and poultry painters of the 19th century.
