ANTIQUE 20thC GOYARD LEATHER CABIN TRUNK, FRANCE c.1900
A wonderful Goyard cabin trunk dating to the early part of the 20th century, circa 1900/1910. Over recent years the brand has been relaunched and has taken the world of fashion by storm. The original E. Goyard firm was a trunk maker which rivalled L V and the trunks it made at the time ooze the same quality and finesse as its (now) more famous competitor. Today its trunks are revered as they weren’t made in vast quantities and even fewer have lasted to this day in good condition.

This cabin trunk is covered in rich cow hide, most probably a custom order as many of the leather trunks were. It is in great condition, the patina on the leather and the brass fittings make for such an elegant combination. Overall a great investment piece for any collector and perfect to embellish any home.
