Antique early-20th Century Imperial Russian gold mounted, solid silver, guilloche enamel belt buckle, of cartouche form, the surface enamelled in translucent light blue over banded wavy engine-turning within gold pellet-and-mullet borders. Hallmarked Russian gold 56 (585 standard), silver 91 (937 standard), St-Petersburg, Assay master AP, Fabergé in Cyrillic, 56 and 91 standards, scratched inventory number 15256, Maker's mark W.H. (Henrik Immanuel Wigstrom, renowned Faberge work-master, active 1862–1923, was one of the most important Fabergé workmasters along with Michael Perchin. Perchin was the head workmaster from 1886 until his death in 1903, when he was succeeded by his chief assistant Henrik Wigström. These two workmasters were responsible for almost all the Imperial Easter eggs commissioned by the Czarina of Russia.
