18th Century Imperial Russian silver impressive lidded tankard, parcel gilt, of cylindrical form, on three ball feet, the body and hinged cover with four cartouches engraved with scene of Samson and Delilah: the body depicting Samson departing to the cities of the Philistines, his wedding banquet, and Delilah cutting Samson’s locks as he sleeps.
Hallmarked with Russian silver marks (875), Moscow, year 1745, Maker's mark in Cyrillic BMO.

Antique mid-18th Century Imperial Russian solid silver impressive lidded tankard, parcel gilt, of cylindrical form, on three ball feet, the body and hinged cover with four cartouches engraved with scene of Samson and Delilah: the body depicting Samson departing to the cities of the Philistines, his wedding banquet, and Delilah cutting Samson’s locks as he sleeps; the cover depicting Samson seduced by Delilah, each flanked by scrolling foliate or stiff-leaf border, the scroll handle with split flared thumb-piece.
Hallmarked with Russian silver marks (875 silver standard), Assay master (indistinct mark), Moscow, year 1745, Maker's mark in Cyrillic BMO (unknown silversmith), also with indistinct scratch weight.
CONDITION
In Great Condition - No Damage, just minor wear.
