Antique early 20th Century Indian Kutch (Cutch) very rare solid silver jewellery casket, It embodies the traditional form with impressive weight and exquisite craftsmanship. The casket stands on four floral scroll feet, showcasing a large hinged star clasp and sides adorned with cast handles. The entire piece is adorned with a splendid array of typical cutch foliate and floral repoussé designs on a matted ground. While lacking hallmarking, as is often the case with such items, the silver has been acid tested, confirming its 900+ silver standard. This remarkable piece dates back to the 1900s, offering a glimpse into the artistry of that era.
