A VINTAGE 20thC ITALIAN "LATTICINO" TABLE LAMP MADE IN MURANO, VENICE c.1980
A stunning table lamp made in Murano, Venice towards the latter end of the 20th century. Encased within a lantern-like structure, the bulb is encased by a glass body which was hand blown by an extremely talented maestro. The technique used is called latticino which is a extremely complex technique of glass blowing which involves incorporating coloured glass canes into the glass. The technique results in a web-like effect and the lamp is a wonderful example of such which can be enjoyed in any interior design setting, whether traditional, mid century or modern.
