20thC ITALIAN CHROME & GLASS FLOOR LAMP BY PAOLO VENINI, MADE IN MURANO c.1970
A rare and exquisite floor lamp, crafted in Italy in the 1970s. This lamp exemplifies refined Italian artistry with a strikingly modern twist. The lamp’s chrome structure elegantly supports eight tulip-like glass flutes, each hand-blown and delicately designed with a mix of clear and opalescent glass. Supported by four graduated cylinders, the design also incorporates four bulb holders. This piece is not only functional but also highly decorative, embodying the sophisticated, sculptural approach to lighting that characterises Italian mid-century design. This lamp exemplifies the quality and unique design sensibility that has made Venini a revered name in Italian glassmaking.

CONDITION
Two of the eight tulip flutes have been damaged at the base and are significantly shorter than the other six. However, the flutes fit securely within their chrome holders and there is enough “depth” in the holders so that the flute fits safely and with no evidence of damage when placed.
