Mid-20th Century twin munitions machinists lamp by London based designer Mek Elek, circa 1940's. Although Mek Elek has now disappeared as a company their lamps are considered as the foundation of industrial lighting. Pathe News reels show rows upon rows of machinists working under the illumination of Mek Elek lighting. A stunning and iconic piece of mid-century design.
