Antique early-20th Century Japanese Meiji period solid silver bowl, double walled, densely chased and embossed with blossoming irises on matted hand hammered ground, shaped floral rim and standing on bamboo shaped feet. The base is Hallmarked with the “jungin”, meaning “pure silver”. In fact Japanese silver features the highest purity in the world, often close to 1000/1000 standard.
