DESCRIPTION
Antique early-20th Century Japanese Meiji period solid silver bowl, double walled, densely chased and embossed with blossoming irises on matted hand hammered ground, shaped floral rim and standing on a round shaped base. The base is Hallmarked with the “jungin”, meaning “pure silver”. In fact Japanese silver features the highest purity in the world, often close to 1000/1000 standard. Signed with the makers mark (unknown to me)
