20th Century Persian Silver tray, very large size and impressive weight, the border chased with figures and flowers, cast handles, the centre engraved with a foliate band and centered with a figural scene.
Acid tested, shows a 800+ standard, the back bearing an inscription, probably in Farsi, it dates to the first half of the 20th century.

DESCRIPTION
Antique 20th Century Persian Solid Silver tray, very large size and impressive weight, the border chased with figures and flowers, cast handles, the centre engraved with a foliate band and centered with a figural scene.
The subjects are probably Parsee or Zoroastrian. Zoroastrianism is one of the world's oldest living religions, and such decoration is typical of the Persian city of Shiraz and of a small Parsee community in Bombay, India.
The silver has been acid tested and shows a 800+ standard, the back bearing an inscription, probably in Farsi, it dates to the first half of the 20th century.
