20th Century Persian Islamic Silver centerpiece bowl / cistern, profusely repousse' decorated with the Persian scrolling design traditional of the city of Isfahan, applied cast wavy borders, the bowl, the lobed stem and the foot are beautifully chased with panels depicting figures and animals.
Hallmarked Persian silver ("84" for 875 standard, like the Russian silver), other Farsi marks partially rubbed. The bowl is the most exceptional and impressive Persian silver object I have ever seen, it probably dates to year 1920's.
