Late-19th Century very rare Ottoman Empire Solid Silver repoussé jewellery box, of oval form, exceptionally large size, with ribbed and tapering cover with bulbous ribbed top, the decoration featuring vertical flutes decorated with long flowering stems, the sculptural finial modelled like a bird resting on a bunch of flowers.
Each part is fully Hallmarked Ottoman Empire, with rare "Tughra" and "Sah" marks. The Tughra mark is the Sultan's signature, for Abdulhamid II.

Each part is fully Hallmarked Ottoman Empire (modern Turkey), silver (900 Standard), with rare "Tughra" and "Sah" marks (please follow this link), very clear and crisp. The Tughra mark is the Sultan's signature, for Abdulhamid II (1876-1909).

In Great condition - No damage, just general wear.
