ANTIQUE 19thC INDIAN KUTCH SOLID SILVER TEMPLE SHAPED TEA CADDY c.1880
Antique 19th Century Indian (Kutch) solid silver tea caddy, shaped like a small Hindu courtyard temple. Hexagonal with a stepped foot, it is richly chased with floral sprays and scrolling vines on a finely matted ground. The hinged, domed, and gadrooned lid is topped with a piriform finial. This tea caddy is particularly fine quality, but unfortunately unmarked.
