ANTIQUE 20thC INDIAN SOLID SILVER REPOUSSE JUNGLE TEA SET, LUCKNOW c.1900
Antique early 20th Century Indian (Lucknow) jungle pattern solid silver tea set, teapot with a wicker bound handle shaped as a cobra and all pieces profusely hand-chased with a detailed jungle pattern depicting various wild animals amongst palm trees, typical of the pieces produced in the region of Lucknow, the interior is gilt. The piece is not Hallmarked, as often the case for Indian silver, but acid tested shows a 900+ standard.
