Hallmarked French gold (eagle's head, 750 standard), Makers mark for Auguste Peyroula and signed Cartier, Made in France, the box dates to 1920's and is a stunning example of the early Art Deco pieces made by Cartier and presented to the Exposition Internationale des Arts Decoratifs at Industriels Modernes (Paris, 1925), that marked the high point of the first phase of Art Deco.
