20thC ITALIAN VENETIAN GLASS PHOTOGRAPH FRAME, ATTRIBUTABLE TO BAROVIER & TOSO

£1,395.00

A mid-20th Century glass mounted photograph frame attributable to the world renowned glassmakers Barovier & Toso of Murano in Venice, Italy. The elegant gold leaf detail to the top of the frame and the opalescent white piping which is intertwined within the transparent twisted frame encapsulates Barovier & Toso’s philosophy of elegance and art.

Although it is not stamped Barovier & Toso anywhere, his work is quite recognisable and this frame embodies the work coming from his studio in the middle of the 20th century and clearly shows age to the metalware and wood backing. It really makes a statement and would look wonderful on any sideboard or desk, marrying up well with any style of interior, whether traditional, mid-century or modern.
