Antique 18th Century rare German solid silver-gilt dressing table box, of oval form on a spreading foot, the hinged cover and sides are embossed with flowers and foliage, the lid applied with a rococo shell thumbpiece and engraved with a crowned name. Hallmarked German silver and scratch mark, city of Augsburg, c.1740-60, Maker IMS (Johann Martin I Satzger), similar examples can be found in the Metropolitan Museum, The Lesley and Emma Sheafer Collection.
