A wonderful “showcase“ coffee table made in Italy in the late 1970s/ early 1980s. The perspex and brass structure supporting two large glass shelves, this style of table is known as a “vitrine“ (or showcase) coffee table and it is one of the more iconic designs attributable to the famous Italian manufacturer Romeo Rega. The upper level slides to the side for access to the lower shelf where it can be used to display a collection of items or simply as storage for everyday items such as books or magazines. When closed it forms a perfect seal protecting the contents but also giving no noticeable indication as to the access point. A truly clever piece of interior design, of lovely proportions and above all a wonderful piece of interior design from the latter part of the last century giving a great retro feel and ambient lighting to any living space.

CONDITION

In Very Good Vintage Condition - The sliding mechanism a little “sticky“ but works well. Some traces of oxidisation to the brassware. Please refer to photographs.
