The whole piece is impressive and features a decorative French Empire style, with openwork swags and oval cartouches. Stamped "950" for 950 silver standard, Maker's mark "PIRES".

Antique 20th Century Continental Empire Style Solid Silver Centerpiece, the massive plateau style base is set with four cut-glass bowls, centered by a large rounded bowl also fitted with a cut glass liner. The whole piece is impressive and features a decorative French Empire style, with openwork swags and oval cartouches. Both the base and the removable bowl are stamped "950" for 950 silver standard, Maker's mark "PIRES" (unknown to me, possibly French made for export, dating to the 1920's).
Condition
In Great Condition - no damage, the top central glass liner has been replaced.
