Antique 20th Century Italian Cast Solid Silver figural statue, beautifully modelled as the famous statue representing a naked youth Satyr in repose, a Roman marble (dating to the Hadrianic period, 117-138 A.D.) now in the Capitoline Museums in Rome which is the most famous copy of a statue by the great ancient Greek artist Praxiteles (please follow this link for more information). The large sized figure features exceptional gauge and quality. Both the base (filled) and the body are Hallmarked "800" for 800 silver standard, the figure is typically Italian and it dates to about 1900-10.
