Antique 19th Century Austro-Hungarian Solid Silver mounted Rock Crystal cup and cover, magnificent, impressively large and heavy, the cup is in the style of the Italian 16th Century Renaissance rock crystal cups / reliquaries, the foot, body and cover are set with panels of plain and faceted Rock Crystal, the silver mounts very decorative, chased with scrolling foliage, fruiting bands, lion's masks and figural volutes.

Antique 19th Century Austro-Hungarian Solid Silver mounted Rock Crystal cup and cover, magnificent, impressively large and heavy, the cup is in the style of the Italian 16th Century Renaissance rock crystal cups / reliquaries, the foot, body and cover are set with panels of plain and faceted Rock Crystal, the silver mounts very decorative, chased with scrolling foliage, fruiting bands, lion's masks and figural volutes.
The cup is extremely rare and valuable, featuring an exceptional quality, mounted with massive chunks of cut and polished rock crystal.
Both parts are Hallmarked French import silver (also tested 900+ standard), but the piece is most probably Austro-Hungarian, dating to the second half of the 19th Century.
CONDITION
In Great condition - No damage, just general wear.
