RARE "SHIPS WHEEL" CLOCK BY HERMES, MADE IN FRANCE c.1950
A rare and original 20th Century vintage Hermes Paris “Gouvernail” ship’s wheel wall clock. The clock encases an 8-day mechanical movement, made probably by Jaeger LeCoultre (usually all Hermes clocks used JLC movements). Hermes introduced this clock in 1940's. This is the most original, old and biggest version of this clock, the diameter is 46 cm. Showing a beautiful dial with engraved Arabic numerals, signed “Hermes Paris”.
