£25,995.00
Sold

A mid 20th Century Wurlitzer 1100 jukebox. Affectionately nicknamed ‘The Bullet,’ it is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful jukeboxes ever created. Its name comes from the sleek, pointed design that rises to a subtle peak at the centre, resembling a bullet resting on its base. Produced between 1947 and 1949, the 1100 is a stunning example of the shift from 1940s Art Deco to the more modern aesthetics of the 1950s.

The jukebox features Wurlitzer’s patented ‘Cobra’ pick-up system, first introduced in 1948, which revolutionized audio quality and remains a key highlight of the machine. One of the first models with a plastic dome large enough to reveal the full working mechanism beneath. Accompanied by a dazzling light display from multi-coloured rotating pilasters, the rotating song selector, encased in elegant chrome, reflects the lights as the jukebox plays, adding to its captivating visual appeal. With its striking design and advanced features, the Wurlitzer 1100 truly encapsulates the best of mid-century music technology and style.
