Anthony Redmile burst into the London interior design scene in the 1960s, producing some of the most eclectic items for his illustrious clients. Known to use items which were taken or inspired by the natural world, this item exemplifies Redmile's work. Lift the lid to reveal a small container, the polished Victorian turtle shell was used to create the cover to a naively carved and painted wooden turtle. A superb and eccentric item which is a wonderful addition to any room.
CONDITION
The turtle shell has some shrinkage cracks but not significant
