Antique 19th Century German black forest wall mounted lead holder, realistically modelled as the head of a dog with realistic glass inset eyes, mounted with a metal collar with three brass hanging hooks below, on an oval plaque. Stamped T.W and Silverine (a trade name for a nickel/copper alloy used to make pocket watchs. It resembles silver), Retailed by Parker & Sons, London. A truly wonderful piece and a must desk accessory for a dog lover.
