Antique late-19th Century Chinese exceptional solid silver water jug, the straight body beautifully hand engraved with cranes surrounded by bamboo trees in landscape, mounted spout intricately engraved with foliage, the realistically modelled bamboo shaped handle terminating with bamboo leaves. The design and quality of this jug is comparable to the best silver objects made in Europe and is truly a very unique and exceptional piece, the silver is of extremely crisp and heavy gauge, the jug comes in its original wood presentation case. Hallmarked with an unknown mark, acid tested (900+ grade silver).
