19th Century Chinese export silver mug, of large size, baluster form, the body is embossed with beautifully battle scenes in relief depicting warriors fighting and people of nobility playing a game amongst hills and trees, the top rim chased with very detailed grapevine boarder, centering an engraved cartouche (JEAN), the handle is beautifully modelled like a dragon.

The cup is not hallmarked (acid tested shows a 900+ silver standard), probably made in Canton, year 1870-1880, attributed to Leeching.
