DESCRIPTION
Antique 19th Century rare and unusual Chinese Export Solid Silver teapot, of round form resting on four bamboo leaves feet, the body finely and profusely chased with figures in a landscape, the handle and the finial in the form of a dragon. The piece is very unusual, fine and exceptionally crisp.
The base is Hallmarked Chinese silver (90 for 900 standard, tested is 900+ standard), Mark "WH" for Wang Hing, the most important and renown Chinese Export luxury retailer and silver manufacturer active in Hong Kong, Canton and Shanghai (for more information please see A. Von Ferscht, Chinese Export Silver 1785-1940, 4th edition 2015).
