Antique 19th Century Exceptional Burmese, (Myanmar) solid silver thabeik bowl, repousse' decorated in high relief depicting different traditional scenes from the Burmese mythology, showing detailed figures set against a chiseled matted background. The top chased with scrolling bands and base decorated with a band of betel leaves. The quality of the bowl is outstanding, heavy gauge and very crisp. The bowl is typically Burmese from the region of Myanmar, acid tested shows a 900+ standard, dates to the 1880's.
