ANTIQUE 20thC EDWARDIAN SOLID SILVER & CLEAR GLASS NOVELTY 'DUCK' CLARET JUG
Antique early 20th Century Edwardian solid silver and clear glass novelty 'Duck' claret jug, realistically modelled as a duck with its head slightly raised, with silver pull-off head, the clear glass body with handle attached, head set with realistically modeled glass eyes and the lower part of the body, tail and feet all realistically modelled to show plumage and the webbed feet.
Such novelty claret jugs are rare and extremely sought after. it is easy to imagine the appeal behind these objects which would have made wonderful items to wow their guests.
