20th Century Solid Silver cigar box / casket, enormous size, impressive and extremely decorative, rectangular form, the hinged cover surmounted by a cast finial, opening to reveal the wooden lined interior. The piece rests on four cast scrolling feet, the sides are applied with an anthemion decorated cast band, the front applied with three medallions, two bearing initials, the central depicting a church. Hallmarked English silver (925), Sheffield, year 1920 (c), Maker's mark MR for Manoah Rhodes & Sons Ltd.

Each part is Hallmarked English silver (925 standard), Sheffield, year 1920 (c), Maker's mark MR (Manoah Rhodes & Sons Ltd, very important silversmith, please follow this link). The base is also stamped Manoah Rhodes & Sons Bradford.
