DESCRIPTION

Antique 20th Century Edwardian solid silver novelty box modelled as a resting camel, the silver has been finely chased and figure mounted on the original ebony base. The satchel carried by the camel opens to reveal an empty compartment. This is a very rare and unusual piece, made by the finest London silversmiths. 

Hallmarked English silver (925 standard), London, year 1904 (i), Makers mark JBC (John Bodman Carrington, Carrington & Co).
