Antique 19/20th Century extremely rare solid silver "Cellini" pattern large and heavy five piece tea & coffee set, consisting of a tea kettle, coffee pot, teapot, sugar bowl and milk jug. The set features a chased and embossed decoration of masks, animals, strap-work and flutes, caryatid ornate scroll handles. The teapot and the coffee pot with similarly decorated stepped cover, all on ornate stepped circular bases, inside richly parcel gilt.

Antique 19/20th Century extremely rare solid silver "Cellini" pattern large and heavy five piece tea & coffee set, consisting of a tea kettle, coffee pot, teapot, sugar bowl and milk jug. The pattern is so called in honor of Benvenuto Cellini, the sculptor and goldsmith of the 16th Century considered by many as the greatest of all time. The set features a chased and embossed decoration of masks, animals, strap-work and flutes, caryatid ornate scroll handles. The teapot and the coffee pot with similarly decorated stepped cover, all on ornate stepped circular bases, inside richly parcel gilt.
Each piece Hallmarked English silver (925 Standard), London, Kettle year 1903 (h), other pieces year 1902 (g) teapot 1897 (b), Maker's mark Mn&Wb (Mappin & Webb Ltd) Mappin & Webb a jewellery company headquartered in the United Kingdom. Mappin & Webb traces its origins to a silver workshop founded in 1775. It now has retail stores in the UK and has held Royal Warrants to the British monarchs since 1897 till present day. The company's master craftsman Martin Swift is the current Crown Jeweller to the British monarchy.
