Antique 19th Century extremely rare Victorian Solid Silver Butter dish with solid silver liner, extremely rare design in the style of the Dutch painter David Teniers, the domed lid is profusely embossed with tavern scenes, the finial is cast as a figure sit on a beer barrel. Very decorative and rare item, a top quality piece for workmanship and size, complete with original silver liner. Plate, liner and cover are fully Hallmarked English Silver (925 Standard), London, year 1868 (u), Maker's mark F.B.T (FB Thomas & Co, very fine silversmith). Each part is also stamped with the retailer mark "Thomas 145 New Bond Street".
