19th Century Victorian Silver Teniers style bachelor tea set, exceptionally heavy and decorative, each pear-shaped body embossed and applied with rustic scenes of peasants merry-making, in the style of the Dutch painter David Teniers, the handles are realistically modelled as tree branches and are mounted with cast drunken peasants sitting on a tree stump, underneath engraved with a Pilkington family crest. Hallmarked English silver (925), London, year 1859 (d), Maker "IF" for John Wilmin Figg.
